Described as the sexiest people on earth, Brazilians are seduced by the sounds of their music and the lure of the beach.. One day you’re on a boat rushing towards spectacular waterfalls through subtropical rainforest as electric blue butterflies flutter through the spray. In the mountains around Bariloche are lakes of navy, peppermint green and palest blue, surrounded by ancient rainforest. Santiago, Chile’s sophisticated capital, nestles alongside the Andes: a frenetic collision of skyscrapers, noise and nightlife that is home to some of South America’s most experimental modern artists. The nearby port city of Valparaíso was described by Brian Keenan as a ‘Venice waiting to be discovered’, with warrens of streets and brightly painted houses. Much of the Lake district region is protected as national parks, and the mixture of forests, lakes and snow-capped volcanoes is unforgettable. All these in one trip, make this plan an unique piece of exclusive and lovable travel. This program is featured in Superior hotels accommodation, including tours and activities to have a general view of each location and of course, a closer relationship with its people.

DESCRIPTION:
Day 1: USA / Rio de Janeiro. Depart from USA aboard your flight to Rio.
Day 2:
Rio de Janeiro: Morning arrival in Rio, the sun and fun capital of South America. Meeting at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day is at own leisure.
Day 3:
Rio de Janeiro: Once the tour participants have been picked up from their hotels, we sally forth to Rio's trademark statue: Christ the Redeemer surmounting the hunch-backed peak of Corcovado. To reach our destination, we ride along the Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas and head for the tunnel Rebouças which runs beneath Corcovado. Tijuca forest is home to hundreds of species of plants and wildlife and has been declared part of Brazil's national heritage. We have approximately an hour to enjoy the divine views of Rio and to spot its sandy beaches, rocky islands, granite peaks and several outstanding man-made attractions. Getting on our private coach again, we traverse the Rebouças tunnel and on our right side we will catch a glimpse of the Hipódromo, the city's horse-racing track, designed in Louis XV-style. Before returning to our hotels, we bend right towards the exclusive São Conrado District and stop at the tranquil Pepino beach. While we may try some coconut water straight from the shell, an ideal thirst-quencher and praised for its numerous positive effects on health, we can raise our heads towards the hang-gliders who fly overhead. They take off at Pedra Bonita, one of Rio's giant rocks, and touch down at Pepino beach. But now it is high time to direct our steps towards home.

Day 4: Rio de Janeiro: Today it is at own leisure time. We recommend to take a guided tour to the Sugar Loaf Mountain; The panorama of the city below is testament to why most visitors consider Rio to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world. By night, we recommend to participate in the spectacular Brazilian Samba Show. (See optional tours)
Day 5: Rio de Janeiro/Iguassu Falls: A morning flight to
Iguassu Falls. Upon arrival, transfer to the Brazilian side of the Falls for an afternoon walking tour of one of the world's greatest natural wonders. Iguassu Falls consists of over 275 separate cataracts across a span of two and one-half miles, wider than Victoria, higher than Niagara and more beautiful than both. In the late afternoon, we cross over to Argentina and check into our hotel, overlooking the falls.
Day 6: Iguassu Falls/Buenos Aires: Morning tour of the Argentine side of the falls, including a visit to famous Devil’s Throat, the most magnificent of the cataracts—view and photograph the thundering waters falling below. Stop at the National Park, before transferring to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires; meeting and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in
Buenos Aires.
Day 7:
Buenos Aires: Built in the 19th century, era of plenty for the wealthy Gaucho (cowboy) land barons of Argentina, this city’s architecture and sophistication rivals that of Paris. Morning sightseeing begins at the Plaza de Mayo. Visit Casa Rosada, the President's residence, the Teatro Colón Opera House and Avenida 9 de Julio, the world's widest boulevard. Then pass the colonial Italian Boca District, the Cathedral and the Tomb of General Jose de San Martin. Tonight, enjoy the ”Buenos Aires by Night” tour including Dinner, followed by a typical Tango Show.
Day 8:
Buenos Aires: Day at leisure. Visit the San Telmo Antique Market (Sun only), or take a full-day optional tour to an estancia (Argentine ranch) for a Gaucho-style Barbecue Lunch featuring traditional folklore and dance. (see optional tours)
Day 9: Buenos Aires/Bariloche: Late morning transfer for the flight to Bariloche, the “
Switzerland” of South America; Upon arrival transfer to your hotel.
Day 10: Bariloche: Morning drive along the shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi past Cerro Cathedral (
Cathedral Mountain). Ascend by chairlift to Cerro Campanario; see the spectacular views. Then, visit the charming postcard village of Llao Llao. Afternon at leisure.
Day 11: Bariloche/Peulla: Depart Bariloche. On the first leg of the lake-crossing journey you’ll see incredible alpine scenery as we continue to the Argentinean border. Travel over the crystalline blue waters of Lake Nahuel Huapi, passing
Victoria Island; continue by launch over Lake Frias en route to the Argentinean/Chilean border. Late afternoon arrival for dinner and overnight in Peulla.
Day 12: Peulla/Puerto Varas: Morning crossing of the mighty Andes Mountains to Petrohue Falls; continue to Lake Todos Los Santos by launch. On to the awe-inspiring lake and mountain region as we make our way to Puerto Varas for overnight.
Day 13: Puerto Varas/Santiago: Morning at leisure to stroll along the lakeshore; or embark on one of the local optional tours. Afternoon flight to Santiago; transfer to your hotel.
Day 14:
Santiago: Nestled between the Pacific Ocean to the west and the mighty Andes Mountains to the east is Santiago. A morning tour of the city includes a visit to the Civic Center, O'Higgins Park and Santa Lucia Hill. Continue to San Cristobal Hill for a magnificent view of the entire city followed by a visit to El Mundo del Vino, where you can sample superb Chilean wines. Pass the lovely residential districts of Las Condes and Vitacura en route to the hotel.
Day 15: Santiago/USA: Day at leisure. Optional tours to Valparaiso and Vina del Mar or the Wine Country are available (see optional tours). This afternoon, transfer to the airport for your return flight back to the USA.
